Wolfpack to Face Maryland In ACC First Round

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's soccer will travel to Maryland to face the Terrapins as part of two Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament first round matches. The Pack will finish ninth on the conference standings regardless of the outcome of its final regular season match to be played at Virginia on Wednesday, Oct. 27. With one regular season match remaining, NC State owns a 7-7-2 overall record and is 1-7-0 in ACC play. Game time is set for 3 p.m. at Ludwig Field in College Park., Md., Sunday, Oct. 31.
The Terps are 7-4-3 overall and sit a 3-4-2 in the ACC. They are coming off a 1-0 upset of No. 10 Duke in overtime on Saturday, Oct. 23. Maryland is ranked eighth among the 10 ACC women's soccer programs.
NC State was defeated by the then No. 23 ranked Terrapins 2-1. Freshman Allie Wilkerson scored the Pack's lone goal in the second minute of the game on Friday, Oct. 8. NC State is 14-4-4 all-time versus the Terrapins.
