Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State volleyball team will again step out of Atlantic Coast Conference play for its final non-conference match of the season Tuesday night when it hosts Liberty. Match time is set for 6 p.m. at Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wolfpack enters the contest with a 10-11 record and features the best defense around the net in the ACC. Led by junior middle blockers Stefani Eddins and Adeola Kosoko, who have combined for 215 total blocks, NC State has nearly doubled (240 to 124) its opponents in that category. Meanwhile, on the offensive side of the net, Kosoko and senior outside hitter Melanie Rowe lead the Pack with 239 and 234 kills respectively. Freshman setter Lauren Markowski has also offered solid play, leading the team in assists (729) and service aces (22).
The Flames (4-16) are coming off two wins and are led by senior outside hitter Jennifer Belk and senior middle blocker Becky Rudnick. Belk features a team-best 285 kills, while Rudnick leads Liberty in hitting percentage with a .228 average, good enough for 230 kills. Sophomore middle blocker Autum Poorman has a team-best 48 total blocks defensively for the Flames, and Belk's 222 digs is also best on the squad. Senior setter Kristin Colson has helped anchor the offense with 735 assists thus far.
