Both Chandrasekar and Arechavaleta are enrolled in the College of Management. Chandrasekar, a sophomore transfer, is a business major, while Arechavaleta, a true freshman, is in the business administration and management curriculum.
"Our goal as a team is to have success on the courts and in the classroom," says Olsen. "We are proud of each individuals effort in both sectors and look forward to more success in the spring."
A total of seven student-athletes from the women's tennis team were named to the Dean's List. In addition to Chandrasekar and Arechavaleta, they are: Allison Barry (Fr./Raleigh, N.C.), Lauren Barry (Fr./Raleigh, N.C.), Jennifer Jassawalla (Sr./Houston, Texas), Taylor Parker (Jr., Marietta, Ga.) and Virginia Romero (So./Madrid, Spain).
The Barry twins are studying communication media, and Jassawalla is in pursuit of a degree in biomedical engineering. She has intentions of attending medical school immediately following graduation. Parker and Romero are both in the College of Management.
Megan Taliaferro is the team's academic support advisor.
