Action Underway at the St. Mary's Fall Classic

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Wolfpack junior Carmen Torres advanced to the semifinals of the Flight Eight championship at the St. Mary's Fall Classic Friday with a win over Danielle Lee of Texas A&M. Torres won in straight sets of 6-3, 6-4 to advance. The Pack also picked up three doubles wins on the day.
Barbara Orlay and Jennifer Jassawalla teamed together to down the Buckeye duo of Colville and Messer, 8-3 in the Flight One match up. Nandita Chandrasekar and Agustina Arechevaleta paired up for their first collegiate win, coming against Purdue's tandem of Sufi and Rodriguez. Virginia Romero and Danielle Stadelmann were winners in the consolation bracket of the Flight Three parings. The couple beat Purdue's McLevish and Bomersback.
Action resumes Saturday at 8 a.m. on the courts of the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
