Salem, Va.-Following the postponement of four games on Wednesday, the ACC Baseball Tournament has resumed at Memorial Stadium in Salem, Virginia. If weather conditions remain favorable through this evening, 12th ranked NC State will face Virginia in a game that was originally scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. In an effort to move the schedule along, ACC officials now say the game will start 30 minutes after the contest between Wake Forest and Georgia Tech, which was slated to get underway at 4:20.
Redshirt freshman Michael Rogers (10-3, 2.76) will get the ball for the Wolfpack and will be opposed by Virginia ace Joe Koshansky (7-1, 1.52). All of the action can be heard in the Triangle area on WKNC 88.1 fm and via the Internet on Gopack.com.
In the first game of the day on Thursday, North Carolina advanced to the winner's bracket with a 10-2 victory over Clemson. Top seed Florida State also took its opener, whipping No. 9 Duke 13-0. Game three will pit Wake Forest against Georgia Tech.
