Barnes Named Most Valuable Player

RALEIGH, N.C. - Senior forward Adrienne Barnes was named the team's Most Valuable Player at the 2002 NC State All Sports banquet, Tuesday, April 22. Barnes was named first team all-ACC tallying eight goals and six assists this past season. Below is a listing of her accomplishments this season.
Played in all 19 games, made 18 starts ... was second on the team with eight goals and also second with six assists ... had one game-winning goal and an assist, coming against Campbell in the 4-0 win ... earned first team all-ACC honors and was an ACC Player of the Week ... had two games where she earned five points, which included the 4-0 win at Campbell (two goals and one assist) and versus Temple (two goals and one assist) was a team leader on the flank.
