NC State Baseball Rises To Sixth In Latest CB Poll

RALEIGH, N.C. - Red hot after winning three of four games on the road this past week and 28 of 33 over the last seven weeks, the NC State baseball team has risen to No. 6 in the latest Collegiate Baseball rankings, released on Monday, April 21. Baseball America ranked the Wolfpack at No. 10 in its poll for the week. USA Today Sports Weekly ranked the Wolfpack No. 11.
The No. 6 ranking is the highest for the Wolfpack baseball team since USA Today Baseball Weekly ranked the Pack No. 5 on May 10, 1993. On May 3, 1993, Collegiate Baseball and Baseball America had NC State ranked No. 4, while Baseball Weekly had the Wolfpack at No. 3.
NC State is the third of three ACC teams ranked in the top six by Collegiate Baseball. Florida State is No. 2, while Georgia Tech is No. 4. Clemson is currently 23rd, and North Carolina, the Wolfpack's opponent this coming weekend, is 25th.
