NC State's Sabo Named Co-Gymnast of the Week

Junior Leah Sabo was named co-EAGL Gymnast of the Week after her performance in the Wolfpack Invite.

Raleigh, N.C. - Junior Leah Sabo (Hubbard, Ohio) of the NC State gymnastics team has been selected as the co-winner of the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week award for the week ending March 2.

Sabo, a transfer from the University of Utah, won the all-around title against some very tough competition at the Wolfpack Invitational this past weekend, leading NC State to a first place finish and a season high 196.100 team score. Sabo had a 39.400 all-around score to win the meet and set a career high. It was her third all-around title this season. She tied for fourth on the balance beam (9.90) and finished first on the floor exercise (9.90). She also tied for eighth in vault (9.725) and was second on bars (9.875). NC State is also ranked 29th in the nation this week.

The Wolfpack will host its final meet of the season this Saturday at 7:00 p.m., with James Madison, Pittsburgh and William & Mary coming to Reynolds Coliseum.
