
JV Squad Finishes Second at Fighting Camel Classic

Buies Creek, N.C. - NC State "B" shot a second round total of 323 to finish at 645 for the tournament, and in second place at the Fighting Camel Classic behind host Campbell. All five Wolfpackers finished in the top 15 of the field, with three in the top 10. Briana Vega led the way for the Wolfpack, finishing fourth overall with a two-round total of 159.
Vega led the tournament through 18 holes with a round of 75, but shot an 84 and took a drop in the standings. She finished 12-over par 144 with a score of 159.
Leslie Stubblefield shot consecutive rounds of 81 to finish at 182, 18-over par for the tournament and tied for sixth. Molly Birmingham finished in a three-way tie for eighth at 163. She took a stroke off of her first round's total to finish with rounds of 82 and 81.
Margaux Hennessey took sole possession of 12th with a score of 165. Gwen Watson made the most improvement after the first round. She finished seven strokes better Tuesday for rounds of 87 and 80 to finish in a tie for 14th at 167.
Campbell was the low-scoring team of the tournament, finishing with a two-round total of 625. The Camel's Sharon O'Neill was the low scorer and individual champion with a score of 151. She and Vega had the low rounds of the tournament with a 75.
