RALEIGH, N.C. - Chalk up another one to the weather. NC State's baseball game with Davidson, scheduled for Tuesday at Kinston's Grainger Stadium, has been cancelled due to wet conditions. No make-up date has been set.
The cancellation means that NC State once again is three games down to rainouts. The Wolfpack made up one previous rainout on Monday with a 13-5 victory over Princeton at Campbell's Taylor Field in Buies Creek, but the cancellation in Kinston means that the Pack is still looking to add three games to the schedule. Complicating the search for additions to the schedule, which are difficult enough, is the unavailability of Doak Field. NC State's home facility is under renovation and may not be ready before April.
NC State will now take the rest of the week off before opening the Atlantic Coast Conference season against Florida State this Friday at Grainger Stadium.
