
Women's Tennis Swept by No. 22 VCU

Richmond, Va. - NC State lost in straight sets to No. 22 Virginia Commonwealth Wednesday evening on the courts of the Thalhimer Tennis Complex in Richmond, Va. NC State falls to 2-1 on the season, while VCU moves to 6-0.
The Rams picked up the early doubles point by winning all three matches. Then, went on to sweep singles play in straight sets. Loni Worsley battled to 7-6 in the second set at the #2 spot for the Wolfpack, but fell 6-1, 7-6. Jennifer Jassawalla put up a fight in the #5 match, also coming on strong in the second set. She lost 6-2, 7-5.
The Wolfpack will be on the road again Sunday and is scheduled to face No. 13 William & Mary (6-2). Action is set for 11 a.m.
