ACC Announces Men's Tennis Anniversary Team

The Atlantic Coast Conference 50th Anniversary Men's Tennis Team was announced today by Commissioner John Swofford. The 51-member team was voted on by the nine league institutions as decided by the league's 50th Anniversary Committee.
Four Wolfpack athletes were named to the team in honor of their exemplary play while at NC State.
Andy Andrews, NC State (1978-1981)
All-American in singles and doubles in 1980 ... All-American in doubles in 1981 ... ACC No. 5 singles flight champion in 1978 ... ACC No. 2 singles flight champion in 1979 ... Won the ACC No. 1 doubles flight championship in 1980 and 81 ... ACC No. 3 doubles flight champion in 1978.
Roberto Bracone, NC State (1996-1999) All-American in singles in 1999 ... Won the ACC No. 1 singles flight in 1997 and 98 ... ACC Player of the Year in 1998 ... All-ACC all four seasons.
Matt McDonald, NC State (1977-1980)
All-American in doubles in 1980 ... Won the ACC No. 3 singles title in 1979 ... Won the ACC No. 4 singles title in 1978 ... Won the ACC No. 1 doubles title in 1980 ... Won the ACC No. 2 doubles title in 1979 ... Won the ACC No. 3 doubles title in 1977.
John Sadri, NC State (1975-1978) All-American in singles in 1977 and 78 ... Won the ACC No. 1 flight in 1977 and 78 ... Won the ACC No. 1 doubles title in 1978.
