NC State Volleyball Stomps Pirates, 3-0

Sophomore Maya Mapp and senior Rebecca Anderson tallied 18 and 10 kills respectively as the NC State volleyball team grabbed another non-conference victory Tuesday night, beating East Carolina 3-0, by the scores of 30-22, 31-29, 30-24.
The win moves NC State to 2-12 on the season, while the Pirates drop to 2-10.
Mapp not only recorded a match-high in kills, but also in attack percentage (.536) and blocks (7). Setter Lindi Sheppard dished out 41 assists, while notching nine kills and seven digs. The Wolfpack finished with a .262 percentage for the match, while the Pirates were held to a percentage of .163.
Sarah Vick and Robyn Drewes each recorded nine kills offensively to lead East Carolina, while setters Jessica Vick and Erica Wilson combined for 29 assists.
Action continues this weekend for the Wolfpack, as it travels to participate in the New Hampshire Tournament. NC State will look for another victory before conference play, as it faces Kent State, New Hampshire and Montana State.
