Track Preps For NCAA Championships at Georgia Tech

Atlanta, Ga. - With less than two weeks until the 2002 Outdoor NCAA Championships, the NC State track & field squads got in one last weekend of competition. The Pack traveled to Georgia Tech this past weekend and competed in the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Senior Tyrone Dozier recorded a NCAA Provisional time in the 400 meters, running a season-best 45.78 to finish 14th in the race. That time was just 0.04 away from his own school record. Also in the 400 meters, Derrick High placed 17th with his second NCAA Provisional time of the season, a 46.16.
Eric Hoverstad placed seventh in the pole vault by clearing 15'10".
Sophomore Felicia Fant saw action in both the 100 and 200 meters for the women. Fant recorded a season-best time of 24.00 for 22nd place in the 200 meters, and was 30th in the 100 meters (12.15).
