Wolfpack Holds Annual All-Sports Banquet

Raleigh, N.C.--The NC State Athletics Department held their annual All-Sports Banquet sponsored by Caterpillar Tuesday night in the McKimmon Center on the NC State campus. Wolfpack seniors Levar Fisher (football), Kelli Brown (gymnastics) and Kristin Price (women's track and field/cross country) took home the H.C. Kennet award, an honor given annually to the top male and female student-athletes who demonstrate the finest attributes of good sportsmanship and team play.
Senior Anthony Grundy won the Outstanding Senior Student-Athlete Award, presented by Bob Bryan, NC State's Associate Vice Chancellor for Alumni Affairs. Grundy helped lead the Wolfpack back to the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament for the first time in 11 years and was named first-team All-ACC for his efforts.
The Wolfpack also had six winners in the ACC Top Six for Service Award, presented by Tonya Washington, NC State's Director of Student-Athlete Development. They were Damon Butler (men's soccer), Matthew Cumbee (cheerleading), Tim Haley (men's swimming/diving), Archie Miller (men's basketball), Brian Rosenthal (men's tennis) and Talisha Scates (women's basketball).
Senior Katie Sabino was the recipient of the Kay Yow Endowment Scholarship. Aside from her hard work and dedication to community service, Sabino has earned All-America honors in track and cross country during her career.
Brooks Teal's men's and women's swimming and diving squads also took the Todd Dunston Community Service Award for their hard work in the Raleigh area.
