Wolfpack Men Drop ACC Opener To Tar Heels

Chapel Hill, N.C.--The NC State Wolfpack men's tennis squad lost its ACC opener to the #33 North Carolina Tar Heels 7-0 at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill. UNC improves to 7-2 overall (1-0 ACC), while NC State drops to 3-8 overall (0-1 ACC).
Matt Lucas and Reinaldo Valor provided a bright spot for the Wolfpack, however, as they downed North Carolina's 41st-ranked Geoff Boyd and Nicholas Monroe, 8-4 in the #1 doubles match.
The Wolfpack is off until March 15th when it plays at UNLV.
