Seminoles Down Wolfpack in Women's Tennis, 5-2

NC State (6-8) fell to 0-5 in conference action with a loss to No. 48 Florida State (10-9) on the courts of the Wolfpack Tennis Complex Saturday afternoon in Raleigh, 5-2. The Noles victory marks their first in the conference. Sophomore Jennifer Jassawalla and Junior Loni Worsley tabbed wins in singles play to score two points for the Wolfpack.
Jassawalla improves to 7-6 on the season and 2-1 in the No. 4 spot. Her win versus Florida State's Christina Denny marks her first of league action. Jassawalla downed Denny with ease in straight sets of 6-2, 6-1.
Worsley defeated Seminole Freshman Meredith Fish 6-4, 6-4 to pick up her first win in the ACC. Worsley, a Winston-Salem, N.C. native, is now 5-7 in singles play.
NC State will return to the courts on Monday when the cream and crimson Hoosiers from Indiana University visit Raleigh for non-conference action. The match-up will mark the first time the two teams have met. Play is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
