Four Wolfpack Gymnasts Honored by the EAGL

Towson, Md. - Four NC State gymnasts were named to the All-EAGL first and second teams announced by EAGL officials at the conference's annual banquet Friday night at Towson.
Kelli Brown led NC State being named on three events plus in the all-around. The senior from Spruce Creek, Pa., was named to the All-EAGL first-team on vault, bars, and for the all-around. She was a unanimous selection for both bars and the all-around. In addition, Brown was named second-team on floor.
Two other NC State seniors were also honored. Laura Jazab was named to the first-team on beam. Jazab is currently ranked fourth in the conference on beam, and has scored a 9.9 in two of the last three meets. Classmate Aimee Panton was a selection for the EAGL first-team on bars. Panton is ranked fourth in the EAGL on bars, and has not scored less than a 9.8 in the past seven meets.
The final Pack gymnast honored was freshman Cori Goldstein. Goldstein was named to the second-team on floor.Goldstein has scored a 9.8 or higher in six meets this year, with a career-high of 9.925.
NC State will be looking to capture its third EAGL conference title in the last four years Saturday, March 23, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Towson University.
