Women's Tennis Falls to Furman

Greenville, S.C. - NC State fell to a strong Furman team in Greenville, S.C. Saturday afternoon at the Minor Mickel Tennis Center .
After Katrina Gildemeister and Kristen Nicholls defeated Furman's Megan Dunigam and Natalie The at the No. 1 doubles, Furman bounced back with wins at two and three to capture the doubles point.
NC State's Katrina Gildemeister was abused in the No. 1 singles match. Megan Dunigan of Furman deafeated Gildemeister in straight sets of 6-0, 6-0.
In No. 6 singles, Jennifer Jassawalla tallied the only point of the day for the Wolfpack in a tough match versus Carolina Bentley. Jassawalla routed Bentley 7-5, 6-4.
The Pack finished its early season road schedule at 1-2, which includes a win over UNC-Greensboro. NC State will look to rebound at home next Saturday versus Coastal Carolina at noon in the friendly confounds of the Wolfpack Tennis Facility located on West Campus.
