Wolfpack Faces Tigers In Season Finale

>b>Tonight's Matchup: Tonight's ACC showdown pits the NC State Wolfpack (13-13, 7-8) against the Clemson Tigers (16-10, 8-7). Clemson sits just ahead (4th) of the Wolfpack in the conference standings and this game will decide the 4th, 5th and 6th seeds in the upcoming ACC Tournament in Greensboro, N.C.
The Opponent: Chrissy Floyd led the Lady Tigers to a 68-65 victory over Georgia Tech on Thursday in Littlejohn Coliseum. Floyd tallied 20 points on the night, to go with four rebounds. Krystal Scott also chipped in 15 points and seven assists in the victory The Series: Clemson has captured seven of the past 10 meetings with the Wolfpack, including a 62-51 victory over the Wolfpack on Jan. 24 in Littlejohn Coliseum. The largest margin of victory for NC State is 32 in 1983, while 23 is the widest margin for a Tiger victory over NC State (1993).

The Coaches: Head Coach Kay Yow is in her 27th season on the Wolfpack bench and owns a 567-246 (.697) mark at NC State and a 624-265 (.702) overall record. She ranks fifth among active coaches for all-time wins and was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in June 2000. Yow has been named a finalist for the Naismith Coach of the Year Award for the previous two seasons.
Jim Davis is in his 15th season at Clemson and owns a 315-148 record during that time. For his career, Davis is 334-156 in 16 years as a head coach. Daivs is 19-17 in his 36 meetings with the Wolfpack since the 1987-88 campaign.
Last Time Out: Despite Kaayla Chones' 22 points and 15 rebounds, the Wolfpack lost to Clemson 62-51 at Littlejohn Coliseum on Jan. 24th. The Wolfpack was beset by turnovers for most of the game, totaling 24 at game's end. Marci Glenney led the Tigers with 19 points, eight rebounds and six steals. Chrissy Floyd also chipped in 12 points.
Next Up: The Wolfpack and the Tigers will be taking part in the ACC Tournament which begins on Friday, March 2nd at the Greensboro Coliseum.
