2002 Puerto Rico Classic First-Round Results in PDF Format

Juniors Justin Walters and Jason Moon both shot an opening round 75 placing 39th to lead the Wolfpack. The three day tournament kicked off in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the Rio Mar Country Club river course.

Sophomore Fernando Mechereffe carded a four-over 76 on the day to place in a tie for 48th. Freshman Banks Wood, fresh off of his individual title for the NC State JV squad earlier this week fired a 77, good for T-57th on the day. Senior Garth Mulroy shot a 79 in the first round to place 68th. Mulroy finished in a tie for second in the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate on Feb. 18th-19th.

NC State tees off tommorrow morning for second round action.
