To n i g h t 's Matchup: To n i g h t 's ACC showdown pits the visiting Florida State Seminoles (13-11, 4-9) against the N C State Wolfpack (11-12, 5-7). Florida State is currently tied for seventh in the A C C with Wake Forest, while the Wolfpack is just two games out of third in the conference.
The Opponent: Tasheika Morris led the Seminoles with 16 points, while Laquinta Neely posted her first career double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) in a 63-56 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in Ta l l a h a s s e e . Shinikki Whiting also tallied 12 points for the Seminoles who are just 1-5 on the road in league play.
The Series: N C State holds a 16-5 record in the all-time series against Florida State. The Wolfpack is 8-2 in games played in Raleigh versus the Seminoles. Prior to a home defeat to Florida State on Dec. 30, 2000 (74-70), the Wo l f p a c k had won the 12 previous matchups between the two squads.

The Coaches: Head Coach Kay Yow is in her 27th season on the Wolfpack bench and owns a 565-245 (.698) mark at NC State and a 622-264 (.702) overall record. She ranks fifth among active coaches for all-time wins and was inducted into the Wo m e n 's Basketball Hall of Fame in June 2000. Yow has been named a finalist for the Naismith Coach of the Year Award for the previous two seasons. Sue Semrau is the head coach for the Florida State Seminoles and is 60-78 in five years at Florida State. Semrau is 2-7 in her nine meetings with the Wo l f p a c k .
Last Time Out: N C State was defeated 80-74 by the Florida State Seminoles on Jan. 17th in the Leon County Civic Center. In that game, Semrau's troops place five players in double-figures with Katelyn Vujas and Tasheika Morris leading the way with 16 each. Kaayla Chones had a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds on 10-16 shooting to lead the Wolfpack charge.
Next Up: N C State will go on the road next Monday to Duke for an A C C showdown at 7:00 p.m., while the Seminoles also have the Blue Devils next in Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
