Holt A Semifinalist For Thorpe Award

NC State safety Terrence Holt, who holds the ACC career record for blocked kicks (12), is among 14 semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe Award, given each year to the nation's top defensive back. Three finalists will be selected Nov. 25, with the winner to be announced Dec. 12.
With 72 stops the season, Holt is NC State's third leading tackler. The senior from Gibsonville, N.C. is also tied for the team lead in interceptions with three. Holt is the only player in the league to have earned ACC Defensive Back of the Week honors on three separate occasions this season.
