Wolfpack Women Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

The NC State women's basketball team, coaches and staff will be participating in the "2002 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" fundraiser, sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

The walk, which starts at 8 a.m. this Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, is a 5K (3.1 mile) walk around the Cameron Village neighborhood. The Wolfpack has already received more than $800 in sponsorship money from former and current players and staff to donate to the cause. Last year, the walk had more than 1,000 people participating and this year isn't expected to be any different.
