Wolfpack Finishes Seventh in the Lady Paladin

Greenville, S.C. - The Wolfpack shot a round of 297 on Sunday, its best of the tournament, to take seventh place in the Lady Paladin Invitational. NC State finished with a three-round total of 909 on the par 72 (864) course. Colby Cobb shot the low round of the day for the Wolfpack with a one-over-par 73, while Sarah Bonner took 11th overall after three consistent days of play. Host Furman took the tournament champion honors, and TCU's Brooke Tull was the individual medalist with a score of 212, four-under-par for the tournament.
Cobb finished with a three-round score of 299, good for a share of 34th. Bonner shot a round of three-over on Sunday to finish the tournament with a three-day score of 222.
Briana Vega also finished tied for 34th with Cobb. Back-to-back days of 75 on Saturday and Sunday lowered her tournament stroke average. Courtney Pomeranz had a solid day of play Sunday with a two-over-par to finish in 42nd with a score of 232, while Erica Wein fired a round of 77 to bring her total to 236.
Margaux Hennessey, who competed as an individual, finished in sole possession of 67th after shooting her best round of the tournament with a 77.
ACC notables North Carolina and Florida State also competed in the tournament, finishing fourth and eighth respectively.
NC State will spend the week preparing for the Pine Needles Collegiate, which it hosts in Pinehurst, N.C. with Rollins College Nov. 4-5.
