Middle Simona Kuipers and outside hitter Paige Davis recorded 13 and 12 kills respectively Friday night to lead Virginia past NC State in volleyball action by the scores of 30-27, 30-21, 30-23.
Freshman Adeola Kosoko led the Wolfpack's offensive attack with 12 kills and a .320 attack percentage. Meanwhile, senior Rebecca Anderson finished with 10 kills and six digs on the night.
Davis, along with setter Lily Phillips each tallied 10 digs for the Cavaliers, while Phillips also served out 41 assists.
With the loss, the Wolfpack drops to 3-21, 0-6 ACC, while Virginia advances to 7-16, 1-6 in conference play.
NC State now travels to Maryland for a 5 p.m. match Saturday with the Terrapins.
