NC State's Moody Suffers Ankle Injury

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State junior Carisse Moody has been diagnosed with grade two ankle sprain and is expected to miss at least three weeks of action. The 6-1 forward injured her left ankle in the first half of the game versus Georgia Tech on Sunday.
"Our team has the challange of dealing with more adversity as we face the loss of another key player," said NC State head coach Kay Yow. "We will strive to maintain focus and compete by giving our best! This will definitely test and stretch us as a team."
The Rocky Mount, N.C. native is the Wolfpack's leading scorer and rebounder with averages of 12.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. She was a preseason All-American and one of five players named to the preseason All-ACC team. Earlier this season, she was selected MVP of the GlaxoSmithKline Invitational and was also named to the Cancun Tournament All-Tournament team.
