Hooper Selected To WUSA's First Team

Charmaine Hooper, a former Wolfpack star, was selected to the Women's United Soccer Association's first team Thursday afternoon.
Hooper, the leading scorer for the Atlanta Beat with twelve goals, is tied for second in the league behind WUSA MVP Tiffany Milbrett (16). She is also third in the WUSA with 27 points.
Atlanta is in the WUSA championship game against the Bay Area CyberRays that will be played on Saturday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Boston. Thori Staples Bryan is also a member of the CyberRays and is the only field player to play every minute this season for her team.
