The NC State women's scocer squad completed their first week of practice Friday afternoon at Lee Field.
Head Coach Laura Kerrigan led the Wolfpack through a 30 minute scrimmage to cap the week's activities and sophomore Lindsey Underwood responded with a goal approximately 10 minutes into the action.
"We've really looked strong and fit out there this week," said Kerrigan. "Our returning players have improved and we are very impressed with our new faces. Lindsey and Katherine (Warman) stepped up for us this week as has Adrienne Barnes. Kelly Blaggie has also competed throughout the summer so that should really help her in these first few weeks, not to mention the rest of the season."
The Wolfpack is coming off a successful 10-7-3 campaign, led by Warman, a second-team All-ACC selection. Warman also collected ACC All-Freshman team honors as well as second-team Southeast region All-Freshman honors by SoccerBuzz Magazine.
SoccerBuzzalso ranks the Pack's 2001 recruiting class 12th nationally.
