Andrea Stinson is proving that last year was no fluke. The former Wolfpack guard, who established herself as one of the WNBA's best guards last year, has picked up right where she left off for the Charlotte Sting.
Though it's early in the season, Stinson currently stands as the league's fourth leading scorer with an average of 19.7 points per game. In Charlotte's 77-65 loss at Sacramento on Thursday night, the 6-0 Stinson tallied 17 points, four rebounds and four steals.
Elsewhere in the WNBA on Thursday, former NC State standout Chasity Melvin helped Cleveland turn back New York, 67-49. Melvin put up 13 points and eight rebounds for the winners.
And Tynesha Lewis, who is in her rookie campaign with Houston, had six points in the Comets' 87-66 romp over Detroit.
