(Los Angeles)--Summer Erb may have finally had her WNBA coming out party on Tuesday night. Seeing her first significant action of the season for the Charlotte Sting, the former NC State center recorded her first career double-double by scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Despite Erb's effort, the Sting dropped to 1-8 with a 73-69 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks.
Erb, who has been hampered by injuries since joining Charlotte last season, hit 7-of-12 shots in 31 minutes of action on Tuesday. It was quite a performance for a player who is averaging just over five points and 11 minutes per game this season.
Erb's Sting teammate and fellow NC State alum Andrea Stinson had just four points on Tuesday night.
