Stinson And Melvin Continue To Produce

Former NC State basketball stars Andrea Stinson and Chasity Melvin put together strong performances to lead their respective WNBA teams to victories over the weekend.
In Orlando on Saturday, Stinson pumped in a career-high 25 points to lead Charlotte (1-3) past the Orlando Miracle, 86-79.
In 36 minutes of playing time, Stinson hit 10-of-20 shots from the floor and made all five of her free throw attempts. She also added three assists and three steals in leading the Sting to its first win of the season. Now averaging 21 points per game, Stinson is the WNBA's fourth leading scorer.
Also on Saturday, former Wolfpack standout Chasity Melvin scored 22 points as Cleveland dumped Indiana, 86-79. The 6-3 Melvin, who is averaging 15 points per contest, knocked down 8-of-15 shots and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Melvin's Rockers are now 3-2 on the season.
