Wolfpack Golfers Fourth After First Round at NCAA East Regional

Williamsburg, VA - NC State's men's golf team, currently ranked eighth in the country, fired a five-under par 283 in the first round of the NCAA East Regional and stand in fourth place in the 30-team field. All five Wolfpack golfers shot even par or better in today's opening round.
NC State was led by senior Chris Mundorf who carded a four-under-par 68 and is tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard. Jason Moon, Garth Mulroy and Mark Tullo all finished the day with a one-under-par 71 while David Sanchez carded an even-par 72.
East Tennessee State holds the first-round lead with a 13-under par 275. The individual leader is Florida's Camilo Villegas who fired an eight-under 64.
The second round of the 54-hole event will begin Friday morning at the Golden Horseshoe Course in Williamsburg, Va.
