Wolfpack's Robinson First-Round Pick Of Seattle Seahawks
4/21/2001 12:00:00 AM | Football
"What state is Seattle in?" laughed an excited Robinson following his selection. "It is such a relief to finally know where I'm going. We're about to do it big in Seattle - nobody's going to be sleepless there any more. A west coast offense with Ricky Watters coming out of the backfield - yeah, I'm excited!"
A semi-finalist for the 2000 Biletnikoff Award, Robinson was a first-team All-ACC choice as a wide receiver and kick returner last season. He was also a second-team All-America choice of the Football News and joined Torry Holt as one of just two receivers in school history to go over the 1,000-yard mark for a single season.
"They told me that they're looking for me to come in and make an immediate impact at the split end position," Robinson continued. "The more I look at the situation, the more excited I get. They need receivers.
"I just would like to thank my family, my friends and all of the coaches I've played for through all the years. Everybody's support has meant a lot."
