Wolfpack's Lewis Drafted By WNBA's Houston Comets

NC State guard/forward Tynesha Lewis was drafted by the Houston Comets as the 31st pick in the 2001 WNBA draft on Friday. Lewis, who won an All-ACC team each of her four years with the Wolfpack, will be the ninth member of the Wolfpack Women to advance to the WNBA ranks.
"I feel great," said the 5-10 Lewis following her selection. " I would like to thank God and my family, my coaches, my teammates and my sorority sisters for all their support. But this is only the beginning, I've got a long way to go. I want to go and make North Carolina State and all the people who believed in me proud."
