Dugan, a senior from Scottdale, Pa., qualified in the 3,000 meters with a season-best time of 8:03.09. Dugan currently ranks 13th in the country in that event. Last season, Dugan captured 16th place in the 3,000 meters at the NCAA Championships, and placed eighth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase during the outdoor season.
Oglesby, a sophomore from Granite Quarry, N.C., will be competing in the weight throw. Oglesby currently ranks 11th in the country with a top mark of 68'03.75" on the year. That throw set a new NC State record, one which Oglesby himself set just last season. Oglesby was crowned ACC champion in the weight throw a couple of weeks ago, when he recorded a new championship record with a toss of 66'07.25". On the season, he has brought home five first-place finishes in seven meets.
The weight throw finals will be held Friday starting at noon. The 3,000 meter finals will be held Saturday at 7:40 p.m.
