NC State Women's Tennis Defeats Charlotte

NC State's Katrina Gildemeister took Charlotte's Alice Hansen to three sets at No. 1 singles to pick up the win 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. The rest of the Wolfpack women swept through the singles matches in straight sets.
The Pack swept through the doubles matches with Gildemeister teamming with Myrna Bawono to defeat Hansen and Lauren Hastings, 8-1 at the No. 1 spot. Loni Worsley and Jackie Leskovar won at No. 2, 8-0 over Gina Craig and Stacie Luders of Charlotte, followed by Jennifer Jassawalla and Kristin Lam winning at No. 3, 8-3 over Baily Gainey and Kelly Rue of Charlotte.
The women's tennis squad will return to action on Wednesday when they play host to the No. 3 ranked Duke Blue Devils at the NC State Tennis Complex. Matches are set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
