Wolfpack Falls to Golden Hurricane, 6-1

RALEIGH, NC - The NC State men’s tennis team lost Saturday afternoon to
47th-ranked Tulsa 6-1 at the Harwell Courts on the campus of Tulsa
University. The win moves Tulsa to 10-9 overall, while the Wolfpack men drop
to 4-14 for 2001.
Ryan Boward posted the lone win for the Wolfpack, topping Micah Zomer at #6 singles 7-5, 7-5. Reinaldo Valor also put up a valiant fight at #3 singles, but finally dropped a three set war to Tulsa’s Shriranga Sudhakara 4-6, 6-4, 4-6.
The Wolfpack will look to avenge this Midwest setback with a match against Oral Roberts Sunday at 11:00, also in Tulsa.
