Baseball To Host Campbell
3/28/2001 12:00:00 AM | Baseball
Following a one-year absence from the NCAA Tournament, the NC State baseball team desperately wants to return to the regionals. But in order to make that happen, the Wolfpack must start stringing together some wins.
Now 12-13 overall and 4-5 in the ACC, NC State needs every win it can get. That's why tonight's 7:00 p.m. home game against Campbell (15-8) is so important. In an earlier meeting on March 14, the Pack cashed in on five Camels' errors to post a lopsided 10-1 victory. The winner in that first game was senior right-hander Jason Blanton, who will also get the call this evening.
Tonight's contest will be a prelude to a big three-game conference series against North Carolina on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Doak Field.
A broadcast of the Campbell game can be heard right here on GOPACK.com.
