NC State Women's Tennis Falls To Miami

Miami took the opening doubles point, winning at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. The Wolfpack did manage to pick up the win at No. 2 doubles, a match that took more than two hours to complete. NC State's Kristen Nicholls teamed with Jennifer Jassawalla at the No. 2 spot to defeat Miami's Lauren Scaglione and Marcy Hora, 9-7.
In singles action, the Pack picked up wins at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively. At No. 2 singles, freshman Jackie Leskovar defeated Miami's Alanna Broderick in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, while at No. 6 singles NC State sophomore Myrna Bawono had to go three sets plus a tiebreaker to beat Lauren Scaglione of Miami, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(7-4).
The women's tennis squad will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Winston-Salem to face another highly ranked opponent in the 22nd ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The match is set to being at 3:00 p.m.
