Women's Tennis Falls to No. 5 Florida

NC State's tandem of Jackie Leskovar and Loni Worsley played a tough match against Whitney Laiho and Jessica Lehnoff of Flordia at No. 1 doubles, but dropped an 8-4 decision to the 18th ranked doubles team in the nation. At No. 2 doubles Myrna Bawono and Katrina Gildemeister of NC State fell to Stephanie Hazlett and Julia Scaringe of Florida, 8-1. Florida forfeited the No. 3 doubles match.
Florida forfeited the No. 6 singles position, but the Pack was unable to get anything started as Florida went on to win the other matches in straight sets. Florida's Laiho, ranked No. 18 in singles lead the Gator attack with a 6-3, 6-3, win over NC State's Leskovar at No. 1.
The Pack will return to action when they face the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Tallahassee.
