Gymnastics Finishes First; Wolfpack Wins All Four Events

The Wolfpack won every event title on the night, led by the performance of junior Kelli Brown. Brown took first on the vault with a score 9.875, first on bars with a 9.95, and also first on floor with a 9.95, all of which were season-highs. In addition, Brown finished third in the all-round with a score of 39.100.
Senior Kara Charles won the all-around with a score of 39.250, her best of the season. Among Charles' highlights were a second place finish on bars (9.9) and also on floor (9.9).
Senior Monica Berry, who is second nationally on beam, won the beam for the fourth time this year with a score of 9.875. Senior Sara Dolan and junior Laura Jazab each posted a 9.85 to finish just behind Berry in second. Jazab also finished seventh on bars with a score of 9.8, and sophomore Cara Dougherty notched a personal-best 9.825 to finish fourth. Freshman Alison Bundy continued her strong rookie campaign with a second place finish on vault with a 9.8.
NC State will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, this weekend to compete in the Masters Classic hosted by Nebraska. The Pack will be competing against Nebraska, Denver, and LSU on Saturday.
