Wolfpack Women's Soccer Inks Four

Blume, a midfielder/forward, attends West Springfield High School, the same school that produced current Wolfpack goalkeeper Gretchen Lear. Blume was selected to the regional and state teams in the Olympic Development Program in 1998, 1999 and 2000. In addition, she collected all-state honors in the state of Virginia as a senior, to go with her selection as the 2000 Patriot District Player Of The Year. Also, Blume claimed all-region and all-metro honors in 1999 and 2000. She was coached at West Springfield by John Kenney.
"Nicole is a really fiesty player," said Kerrigan. "She is a very skilled central midfielder with a good understanding of the game. She will definitely raise the level of tenacity in practice next season."
Bojcun, a forward/midfielder, is a senoir at The Hun of Princeton High School. During her career there, she tallied 28 goals and 21 assists leading The Hun to a composite 17-9-3 record over those two seasons. As a freshman and sophomore at Steinert High School, she posted 46 goals and 21 assists and 30-7-5 team record over those two seasons.
She brings with her vast experience on the national level, including stints in the under-15 National Pool (1997), under-16 National Pool (1998), and the adidas Elite Soccer Program (2000). On the regional level, Bojcun also was a member of the region I Olympic Development Pool from 1996-1998. In high school, she captured numerous honors, including all-state nominations as a senior from the Newark Star-Ledger (1st team), the Trentonian (1st team), Trenton Times (1st Team) and the Associated Press (2nd team, 2000). Bojcun was coached at The Hun of Princeton by Julie Davis.
"Lydia is an extremely athletic player, in the midfield or up front," Kerrigan said. "She is a proven goal-scorer who has the ability to take over a game. Her experience in the national pool will also be a great asset."
Gomez, a goalkeeper, currently attends Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame High School. During the 1998-99 season, Gomez had 12 shutouts (1.22 goals against average), compiling an 11-5-3 won-loss record. As a senior, she posted 14 shutouts (0.40 goals against average) for a 15-0-3 mark. Gomez was a member of the region III Olympic Development Program in 1997 and 1998, as well as the Florida Olympic Development Program in 1999. She was named first-team all county in 1999 by the Miami Herald, as well as all-conference honors in 1998 and 1999. Gomez was coached at Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame by Gregory Cabana and Mary Salgado.
"Juliana is a strong player who really reads the game well from the back," said Kerrigan. "She is an athletic talent that directs the backs well."
Josephson, a defender, is a senior at Charlotte Catholic High School. Josephson led Charlotte Catholic to a 20-1 record in 2000, garnering all-conference honors three seasons, all-region honors for two seasons and all-state honors in 2000 by the Charlotte Observer. In 1999-2000, she received an invitation to the Elite Soccer Program as well as being named a regional bronze medalist in 2000. She will also be representing North Carolina in the Olympic Development Program National Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 8th. Josephson was coached at Charlotte Catholic by Gary Hoilett.
"Marly is a solid, strong defender," Kerrigan said. "She is great in the air and has a knack for winning balls back there. She also serves the ball out of the back to the forwards really well."
