
Men's Soccer Tops Georgia State

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men's soccer downed visiting Georgia State 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Method Road. Sophomore Isreal Mejia netted his team leading fifth and sixth goals of the season to push the Pack to victory in the final home game of the season.
Mejia netted his first score of the day in the 20th minute. Senior Lee Baldwin stole a pass in the midfield area and passed the ball up to Mejia, who riffled a shot into the Georgia State net. The Pack would be up 1-0 through halftime.
In the 65th minute, Mejia used a Michael Karim cross into the box to score the eventual game-winner. Georgia State would make a late come back, as Stephen Adams scored on a penalty kick in the 84th minute.
NC State's Mitchell Watson ended the game with six saves, and the Wolfpack outshot Georgia State 18-13 for the contest.
NC State will travel to Maryland this Saturday for the final ACC game of the season.
