Fisher and Holt Named ACC First-Team

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State Wolfpack was well represented on the year's all-conference teams announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference Tuesday afternoon. Senior outside linebacker Levar Fisher and junior safety Terrence Holt each were named to the first-team, while six other Pack players were cited.
Fisher was the team's leading tackler once again this season with 148 tackles, including 84 unassisted. Fisher, last season's ACC Defensive Player of the Year, holds the school record for career tackles with 492. Holt, a honorable mention last season, was third on the team in tackles this season with 104 from his safety position. Holt also earned honorable mention honors as a specialist, largely due to his four blocked field goals this season.
Earning second-team honors on defense is senior defensive end Corey Smith. Smith lead the Pack with six fumbles caused this season, and was leading the country in that category midway through the season. Smith also finished second on the team with six sacks, and recorded a total of 52 tackles. Senior cornerback Brian Williams was named honorable mention as well.
Seniors Ray Robinson and Willie Wright each earned a spot on the All-ACC second-team on offense. Robinson finished the season as the Pack's leading rusher with 733 yards. For his career, Robinson is now ranked fourth on the all-time rushing list with 2,781 career yards. Also this season, Robinson finished with a team leading 52 catches, and found the endzone a total of 11 times. Wright, who earned honorable mention honors last season, set a new NC State school record for most catches by a tight end this season with 40. Wright also set a personal-best with five touchdown receptions. Quarterback Philip Rivers and tackle Chris Colmer were each named honorable mention on offense as well.
