Wolfpack Golfers Tied for Ninth at Carpet Capital Collegiate

Rocky Face, GA -- NC State's men's golf team stands in eighth place after the second round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate at The Farm Golf Club in Rocky Face, Ga. Georgia Tech leads the event with a 14-under-par 562. The annual tournament, which features 15 of the top college teams in the nation, will conclude on Sunday.
Garth Mulroy, the lone senior on the Wolfpack roster, leads NC State a 146 and is tied for 20th. Jason Moon carded an even par 72 on Saturday and is tied for 23rd. Troy Matteson of Georiga Tech is seven-under-par for the tournament to hold a one shot lead over Clemson's D.J. Trahan.
