Wolfpack Golfers Sixth At The Nelson

Stanford, CA -- NC State men's golf team stands in sixth place after the second round of The Nelson Invitational hosted by Stanford University. The Wolfpack posted a 286 in Saturday's second round to stand at 570 after 36 holes. Washington leads the 15-team event with a team score of 552.

Justin Walters and Garth Mulroy lead the Pack in the second round, each firing a 68. Walters is tied for fourth with a four-under 138 while Mulroy and teammate Jason Moon are tied for 29th at 143.

Brad Heaven of Toledo, Washington's Brock Mackenzie and Corey Prugh are all tied at the top of the leaderboard with a 36-hole total of 137.

The final round of the event will be held on Sunday.
