NC State women's tennis player Kristin Lamwas defeated by April Gampler of the University of Wisconson in the first round of the Claycourt Invitational in Baltimore, Maryland, on Sept. 20.

Lam dropped an 8-4 decision to Gampler in a pro-set style match.
