Wolfpack Fifth In Tennessee Golf Tournament

Senior David Sanchez led NC State with a three-under par 141. The Charlotte, NC native fired a 68 in the morning round and a 73 in the afternoon and is currently in a tie for eighth place. Senior captain Chris Mundorf fired a 72 and a 70 to finish two-under-par and in a tie for 12th heading into the final round.
John Carter, another North Carolina native, shot consecutive rounds of even-par 72. The sophomore is tied for 19th after the first day of competition. Mark Tullo carded a 75, 71 for a 146 and Jason Moon finished with a 36-hole total of 148.
Virginia sits atop the leaderboard with a 13-under-par 563, followed by LSU's 12-under 564. The Cavaliers' Cameron Yancey leads all individuals with a eight-under 136. The 14-team field will play the final 18-hole round on Tuesday.
