WASHINGTON (August 26, 2000) -- Former NC State cornerback Lloyd Harrison, returning from an ankle injury
that had sidelined him for two weeks, helped the Washington Redskins post a
17-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the exhibition finale for both
NFL teams on Friday night.
Harrison, who was selected in the third round of April's NFL Draft, picked a deflected pass out of the air and returned it 55-yards for Washington's first touchdown. He also batted down a potential scoring pass in the third quarter.
Harrison will get his first taste of the NFL regular season when the Redskins entertain the Carolina Panthers on September 3.
